Working Principle of Wood Chipper Machine
The machine is composed of machine base, knife roller, upper and lower feeding roller, conveyor belt, hydraulic system and other parts.

First of all, from the price point of view, the price of drum chipper is much more expensive than disk chipper. The size of wood chips can be adjusted by screen, but for too thick and too fine wood, the wood chips cut by disk chipper will have uneven size, and its slicing effect and efficiency are far inferior to drum chipper.
For example, in the production of fiberboard and particle board, there are often fixed requirements for the length of the wood chips, while the disk chipper can easily adjust the length of the wood chips, so the disk chipper has a wider cutting range than the drum chipper. Tips for Using Drum Chipper
- Before installing the drum wood chipper, the place of use should be leveled and, if possible, hardened. In order to place the equipment smoothly, the installation direction should be determined according to the actual conditions of the site and raw materials.
- Check the circuits and oil lines to confirm that they are safely connected. In future use, the tension of each chain, v-belt and drive mechanism should be checked frequently.
- The blade of the wire stripper is an alloy steel product. After long time use, if wear or change the angle, you can loosen the fastening screw of the blade, and you can remove the blade for grinding and adjustment.
- When connecting power to the drum wood chipper, connect 380V three-phase power from the distribution box or distribution cabinet. First, check if there are any debris and branches around the equipment to affect the operation. After turning on the power, first determine the rotation direction of the feed rollers and make the equipment run left and right for 5 minutes, listen and observe if the equipment is abnormal.
- At the beginning of the trial run of the drum wood chipper, several straight woods of about 2-4 meters in length within the processing range should be selected according to different models of small, medium and large sizes. Try to avoid using special hardwoods and large diameter and excessively bent raw materials to test the machine.
- Hold the material with both hands when feeding, first lift the end of the material so that the front end presses the feed roller into the feed roller, then you can release your hand when the end of the feed roller clamps the wood and starts to discharge.
